Low Carb Turkey Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Turkey Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus

This is the first time that I made a bacon-wrapped asparagus and it was mighty yummy! Next time though I will be sticking with using a pork bacon for flavor purposes, but this turkey-bacon is just fine. You should try this for yourself.

INGREDIENTS:

1 bundle asparagus, trimmed
4 strips turkey-bacon
2 tbsp dijon mustard
2 tbsp cream cheese
2 tbsp grated mozzarella
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp garlic powder

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven at 400* F.

2. In a mixing bowl, mix mustard, cream cheese, garlic powder, mozzarella and parsley. Blend well.

3. Spread the mixture into the bacon, and carefully wrap it around 5-6 stalks of asparagus. Pin it with a toothpick to avoid falling off, if you must.

4. Place asparagus on baking dish, don't forget to spray it with non-stick spray. Cook for 30 minutes, until bacon is crisp.

Serve hot.
