Low and Slow Baked Pork BBQ Back Ribs

Pork BBQ Back Ribs

Hooray! Hooray, for finally being able to make my very first baked back ribs and successful at it. It was really tender and juicy. The flavor was sweet and a little bite of spiciness.

Here's my recipe and do enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:

1 rack, 3-4 lbs pork back ribs

Rub: - You can follow this or you can make your own or simply salt and pepper.
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp coarse salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne powder

Baste:
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
lime juice
1/4 - 1/2 cup of honey or sweetener of your choice
1/2 cup homemade ketchup  (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven at 225*

In a medium mixing bowl, mix altogether the spices and set aside.

In another bowl, mix the basting sauce and set aside.

Wash the pork ribs with water and pat with paper towel. Season the meat with the rub.

Place meat side down in the baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.

Place inside the oven and cook for 3.5 hours.

Remove baking dish from oven and remove the juice that accumulated. Cover ribs with basting sauce and bring it back inside the oven without the aluminum foil. Cook for 30 minutes more.

Serves 4-6.
