Fried Rice

Fried Rice

My sister loves rice so much yet she can't consume them as fast as she cooks. Most of the time, the cooked rice ends up in the trash. What a waste! She doesn't like to do other cooking other than what else? COOK THE RICE! So I solved her problem for her. I made something out of it every time.

Served with your best morning coffee, and eggs or bacon.

INGREDIENTS:

Left over cold rice, stir well to break it apart
2 Tbsp olive oil
1/4 Cup green peas
3 pcs sliced ham, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1 Egg
1 Small onion, chopped finely
2 Cloves garlic, minced

DIRECTIONS:

Heat oil in skillet, saute garlic and then onion. When onion is transparent, add the chopped ham and green peas. Add rice, stir for 2-3 minutes. Add egg, stir continuously to blend the egg well. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

This can serve as a single dish in itself of can be partnered with eggs or bacon or whatever it is you fancy to go with the rice.

The measurement for the ingredients can be adjusted depending on how plentiful your cold rice is.

Enjoy!
