Grilled Pepper Pork Steak |
My sister brought home some pork meat at home and I don't know what to do with it. Basically, in our house we only cook 'white meat' - as per my mom. BUT, since we have that already, I just need to make do with it. Looking around over the internet and searching the cookbooks for a recipe, I found something that I am really interested at. It's Pepper Pork Steak, from Easy EVERYDAY COOKING recipes.
VARIATION:
Sprinkle fresh herbs on hot coals while grilling to enhance the flavor of the meat.
INGREDIENTS:
1kl Pork steak, 1 inch thick
1/2 Cup butter
4 Tsp dried parsley
1/4 Cup minced onion
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tsp ground pepper
1/2 Tsp dry mustard
DIRECTIONS:
Lightly score edges of steak at 1-inch intervals. Preheat grill.
Combine butter, parsley, onion, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and mustard in a small saucepan. Heat, stirring continually, over low heat until butter melts. Reserve 1/4 of the mixture.
Place steak on grill. Brush steak with butter mixture. Cook, basting frequently with butter mixture, about 6 minutes per side for medium.
Place steak on a serving platter. Cut thin slices across the grain. Drizzle reserved butter mixture over steak.
This goes along great with Parslied Potatoes.
Bon Appetit!
