Smoothie #1: Paleo Kale Avocado Banana



I have always been curious about the emerging trend over the internet regarding the Paleo smoothie drinks. I have decided to let my doubts get the best of me and try it instead.

A couple of try-outs didn't go bad, but they weren't my favorites either. But this, ahh...the lemony twist and freshness of flavor, that surprised me and has stayed on my list of things to make early in the day.

I have to say that I am impressed and surprised that when I had a glass of this smoothie every morning, my hunger pangs were gone and I felt full the whole morning.

So here's the recipe, I hope you will enjoy it as I did.

INGREDIENTS:


3 cups of baby Kale
2 pcs medium banana
1 med-large avocado
l lemon
honey (optional)
2-3 cups of water

DIRECTIONS:

In a blender, pour in kale, banana, avocado and water. Mix until all the ingredients have become thick. Add four tbsp lemon or add more according to your taste, add honey, and blend for 20 secs.

You can add more or less water, depending on how you want your smoothie to be.

Makes 4 servings.

Stir-fried (Create your own!)

That's my fresh from the wok, stir fried mix.

There is a buffet that I frequent  that makes this really good stir-fried goodies. I go there just for that.
As for the ingredients, you can basically add just anything you want in it. Does that sound good to you? My mouth is watering, actually.
